El Bulli to Shut Down in 2012

After making a ground-breaking discovery of turtle dove with blackberry caviar the far-famed restaurant El Bulli is going to shut down, but as they say that there is a silver lining to every dark cloud, this hiatus is just going to last for just two years.

Ferran Adria, who is one of the world’s most celebrated chefs, says that he needs some time for himself, which is very much justifiable. The chef works for 15 hours everyday to deliver lip smacking delicacies and nobody can put with such a hectic schedule.

El Bulli, the chef’s haven will remain shut for two years starting 2012.As the famous prophecy by the Mayan civilization goes, it certainly will be an end of the world for all the foodies living in Spain. He made this shocking revelation at an international culinary conference and even said that he would continue exploring sumptuous dishes so that he comes back with a bang! Does it mean that he is retiring? Or venturing into something new? Well, these questions remain unanswered as he did not provide any insight on it.

The three Michelin star El Bulli has been bagging every covetous title ever since it came into existence.” I don’t want to go and sit on a beach in the Bahamas but I think we deserve to lead more normal lives because for 25 years we have been focusing on the restaurant. Now we need more time with our families,” said the celebrity chef.
