Six Deck Yacht Migaloo Can Also Operate as a Submarine

Motion Code: Blue, the Austria based yacht design studio has come up with the extraordinary design concept of a luxury yacht that is also a submarine. It is a curious mix of basic design elements of yacht and submarine. It is a six deck yacht that is 11 meter wide and 115 meter long. The extraordinary white yacht has been named Migaloo after an albino whale. The yacht has been developed to satisfy the demands of the super rich who want to own something that makes them stand out from the crowd. The hull of the yacht has been crafted exactly like any other modern submarine. It is the tower of the yacht that has been custom designed to accommodate spaces and amenities necessary in a yacht.

The Furniture Are Removed to Storage Area When the Yacht Submerges

The tower is longer and wider than normal. The aft deck of the yacht is very spacious and offers lounge areas, sun beds, a bar, an 8 meter by 3 meter pool as well as a helicopter pad. There are large storage areas to accommodate all the furniture when the yacht goes under water. The bottom of the pool is raised to the main deck level when the yacht is submerged. The owner’s quarters are located in the foredeck featuring a full beam private lounge and a private bar. The owner’s suite is spread over two levels and is located right under the foredeck.

There are Large Windows to Provide Stunning Underwater Views

There is a spacious sun lounge on top of the tower. It is accessible through two wide stairways from the main deck and also by lift from the other decks. The yacht is controlled from an outdoor helm station on the forward top of the tower when it is travelling above the water. However, the state of the art equipment to control the submarine are right underneath the tower in the hull. The sub-deck four is dedicated entirely for the crew and boasts of crew mess, laundry and crew gym. The hull and tower are equipped with large windows of special pressure-proof glass to offer a breathtaking view especially when Migaloo is submerged. The yacht cum submarine has been built to operate up to a maximum depth of 240 meters.
