Cannes Film Festival has always been there for a good cause. After witnessing many special-edition premium retro cars at AIDS fundraisers these days, it was not much of a surprise when Italian jeans wear house Diesel decided to team up with Fiat and Cinema Against AIDS Gala organizers to create one of a kind 500C car for auction.
Very similar to the fixed-roof Diesel edition Fiat 500, this special roadster has a rather unique metallic green paint job. The upholstery engine is in denim plus with plenty of Diesel logos strewn everywhere. A 100-horsepower engine has replaced the 75hp unit of the regular fixed-proof version.
Only one model of the special-edition Fiat 500C will be made. This will help Diesel to be counted among big names like Sharon Stone, Harvey Weinstein, Annie Lennox and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Let’s hope this auction exceeds last year’s record $7million raise.
