The World’s Biggest Megayacht Eclipse Finally Leaves German Shipyard For Its Owner

The world’s biggest mega yacht, the Eclipse is now reportedly ready to be delivered to its proud owner, Roman Abramovich, the Russian oil magnate, who is well known for his affinity towards luxury sea vessels he already owns four additional luxury yachts. However, the all new Eclipse will not only be the Queen of his collection, but it has also broken the world record for the largest private yacht in the world, measuring an awesome 557 feet, dwarfing the 532-foot yacht Dubai, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum. The mega yacht, Eclipse has cost the Russian billionaire anywhere between $400 – $800 million.

This incredible ultra luxurious mega yacht boasts of two helipads, a submarine, multiple hot tubs and two swimming pools, one of which can also be drained out and converted into dance floor. Furthermore, all the guest cabins of the Eclipse are equipped with a 6ft home cinema screen and the master cabin sports a retractable roof. As far as the security of this incredibly giant luxury vessel is concerned, the Eclipse comes with bulletproof windows, armour-plating around Abramovich’s master suite and the most astounding of all is the inclusion of a state of the art, military grade missile detection system.

Mr. Abramovich already owns three  other luxury yachts namely, Pelorus (377ft), the Ecstasea ( 282ft) and the Sussurro (161ft), but with the addition of the Eclipse, all these vessels might go into obscurity. Roman Abramovich, a Jewish by birth began his career as a plastic ducks vendor, and with intense hard work and stead fast dedication, he rose from a simple vendors, to a Russian oil behemoth.
