We all want to look like a million bucks, like the glam dolls from glossy magazines. But that does not come easy. Everyone does not have at their beck and call, makeup artists who can give you that flawless skin you have been hoping for, or those smokey eyes you saw on Mila Kunis the other day. Us lesser beings have to rely on fashion tips we get from articles like Fashion Week Beauty Survival Guide.
Look Like a Million Bucks
Classic red nails is one of those fashion trends that instantly make you feel like a movie star from the 50s. You can buy the Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Le Smoking from the Red Hautes Collection by Estée Lauder (Rs. 1,390) or a more affordable version of that from Maybelline or Elle. For a rosy glow on the cheeks you can opt for Fine-One-One lip-and-cheek illuminator by Benefit or something like the Body Shop Cheek and Lip Stain, which works both for getting that beautiful pout or flushed healthy cheeks. MAC is one brand that comes up with great products though on a slightly pricier side. For a great makeup base that protects your skin at the same time, try their Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50. If you are one of those who love all things herbal, Forest Essentials would be a brand worth trying. They have lotions and potions, all made from natural products. For perfect hair while travelling, you can buy the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo or the Ouidad detangler and spray on conditioner.
Travel in Style on a Budget
Come April, some of the top notch hotels like the Oberoi Hotel Marine Drive, Taj Vivanta Bangalore, Leela Palace Udaipur among several others will slash their rates by huge margins going upto 70% for their rooms and especially their luxury suites. The reason is the advent of the so-called lean season that begins from April and goes on till September. If you are going to Mumbai, you can stay at the famous Oberoi hotel located right at Marine Drive for only Rs.18,000 a night, which is a massive drop from its usual rate of, hold your breath, Rs.65,000 per night. This will include all the original perks like, Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast and airport transfers in a swanky Audi A8 sedan.
Taj Vivanta at Bangalore will offer luxury suites at Rs14,000 a night instead of the usual Rs. 33,000.  Leela Palace Udaipur is another property that is on the dream list of many travelers You could check it off your bucket list thanks to their Rs 70,000 for two nights package, which is Rs. 5,000 less than their original rate for one nights stay. Hilton Noida and Goa Marriott Resort & Spa are offering suites for Rs 15,500 a night, a 30% drop. The Oberoi Hotel has already received 200 bookings since the launch of the scheme. Other hotels see the same trend. It gives people a chance to experience luxury on a budget whereas it helps hotels keep up their revenues during a dull period. Seems like a win win for all.
