Jewellery Time 2011 To Celebrate Bejewelled Watches From 27 October

Luxury timepieces are often not different from fine jewelry. And when they are encrusted with precious stones or covered in 18-carat gold, the dividing line is blurred further. Each year for the last several years, Cortina Watch has been organizing Jewellery Time to celebrate bejeweled watches. The 2011 edition begins from 27 October and will carry on until 6 November this year. The venue for Jewellery Time 2011 is Paragon in Singapore.

Now in its sixth edition, Jewellery Time is an award-winning event. It is the celebration of jewelry watches. If you thought jewelry exhibits were glittering events, this one will be no different. Fourteen of the world’s most prestigious luxury watch brands will be participating in this Asia-centered event. The fourteen participants include Audemars Piguet, Baume & Mercier, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chopard, Chronoswiss, Corum, Girard Perregaux, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Milus, Montblanc, Omega, Piaget and Zenith.

The event will be held over a massive 3,000 square feet of space. Among the highlight pieces at the event is Baume & Mercier Ladies’ Hampton worth S$13,270. This luxury timepiece features a case adorned with 80 round cut diamonds. White alligator straps and a sun satin-finished opaline silvered dial add to the effect.

A really creative piece is the Serpenti Haute Joaillerie created by Bvlgari. The 18-carat pink gold timepiece features 761 brilliant-cut diamonds, pink sapphires and amethysts. So if you thought this was just another watch exhibit, think again. Haute horologerie is the theme. Prepare to be floored by the many bejeweled watches that make it to this high-profile event.
