Luxury brands The Macallan and Lalique join hands on the 150th birth anniversary of Rene Lalique, to create a priceless decanter. This special decanter will contain oldest and rarest Macallan ever bottled by the Speyside distillery. The years old Macallan single malt whisky will be auctioned by Sotheby’s on November 15, 2010 in New York and the proceeds will donated to a non-profit organisation bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
Starting in Paris on April 6, the decanter will be exhibited all over the globe, with stops in London, Madrid, Moscow, Seoul, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Taipei, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.
Designed by the French crystal house Lalique, this exclusive Cire Perdue decanter, has been handcrafted to showcase the excellent craftsmanship that has become a synonym for Lalique. The designed has been inspired by the beauty of the Speyside distillery.
