In recent times, luxury conferences have been focusing on the challenges for the luxury industry. American Express Publishing Luxury Summit

This luxury conference will be held at The Breakers Palm Beach from 6-8 May. The three-day conference will address the theme “What Works Now: Luxury to Believe In”. The conference will focus on the factors that encourage luxury spending amid economic uncertainty and global expansion of the luxury business. Among the high-profile speakers are American Express chairman and CEO Kenneth Chenault, and president and COO of Chanel John Galantic.

FT Business of Luxury Summit

Participants at this luxury conference will head to the Four Seasons Resort in Marrakech, Morocco from 30 May to 1 June. The 2012 summit explores “The Lifestyle Revolution”. Speakers such as PPR chairman and CEO Francois-Henri Pinault and Ferrari SpA chairman Luca di Montezemelo will talk about the coming together of luxury and lifestyle.

International Herald Tribune’s Luxury Business Conference

To be held in Rome on 15 and 16 November this luxury conference has a more geographically specific theme, “The power of the Mediterranean, the promise of Africa”. International Herald Tribune‘s Fashion Editor Suzy Menkes will be curating the conference and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier has been roped in to make the keynote speech.
