Walpole, the British luxury goods group has initiated a systematic search for the ‘brands of tomorrow’. They would be offering a mentorship program to the selected luxury companies. Some of the top British brands like Harrods, Burberry, Dunhill, Fortnum & Mason and Jimmy Choo are members of the Walpole Group. The promising upcoming luxury companies which are selected as mentees will be taken through a cycle of quarterly educational workshops on areas such as business planning, marketing, distribution and international trade and provided with opportunity to meet some of the UK’s most experienced entrepreneurs.

The criteria for those who can apply are simple. The turnover of the company should be between £100,000 and £2 million, an entrepreneurial style of management and a clear vision about the brand. The applicants can attach examples of their work in support of their eligibility. The last date for applying is February 18. The applicants who qualify will be notified and will have to appear for a second round of judging on March 15.

Some of the promising British brands like Bremont Watch Company, Rococo Chocolates, Charlotte Olympia shoes, fashion retailer Wolf & Badger and Josephine Home have earlier participated in the Brands of Tomorrow program and benefited from it.
