A property of the luxurious Gstaad Palace, this hut however, contains no extra special amenities. You will get your basic cold water, a bedroom with a big bed, a kitchen, a dining area and a traditional farmhouse latrine. But the view is absolutely priceless from here. But yes, you do get to have three course meals accompanied by great wine and champagne.
The cost of staying here is over £1,000 per night for up to two adults and two children. So if you want a ‘going back in time’ kind of experience with a few perks, then this should be a great pick for you. But if you want to have that extra bit of luxury then you could always head down a little lower in the Alps to the Gstaad Palace, which a posh Swiss heritage hotel that opened way back in 1913. A testimony of how great this place is the fact that many celebrities like the Queen of Thailand, singer Robbie Williams, and heiress Paris Hilton have enjoyed their stay here. Also, almost two-thirds of the guests here are repeat visitors.
And there really is something about Switzerland which attracts so many people here. Celebrities like Freddie Mercury, Charlie Chaplin, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Roman Polanski, and many more have brought homes here at one time or another. I guess it is the beauty and the escape and peace it provides, which makes it so very special.
