Voxmobile Brings The Razzmatazz Of The Past Era

Today we are going to talk about a dream roadster. Called the Voxmobile, it was designed and built by George Barris along the lines of the Bed Buggy, Munster Rod and Batmobile which by the way were made by the same man around the same time. We are told that the main car in reference here was designed as a promotional gimmick along with all the design razzmatazz of working amps, keyboards and guitar racks for the VOX prodcuts. In fact, from what we hear the car was even supposed to co-star with Jack Nicholson in the film Psych-Out but the deal did not work out.

The Voxmobile is based on a street rail with a leading arm solid axle front and cut ford 9″ rear-end. There is a 289 Cobra motor that pumps up the jam to 275 bhp. No wonder, the car can reach 175 mph.

The 12 speakers strewn all across the vehicle as well as the 12″ primaries can withstand up to 32 Vox guitars through the beatle head. Now, you must be wondering what exactly will it take you to own all of this! Well, we can give you a hint. How about $175,000? Yep, that is price tag with this macho vintage beauty on eBay. Are your game?
