Mukesh Ambani’s $1 billion Antilla has definitely inspired the Indian billionaires to create fancy residences for themselves. And in any case, liquor barron Vijay Mallya is known for his dramatic style and is always out there to prove that what others can do, he can do it better. He is pulling down his ancestral home in Bangalore on Vittal Mallya Road to make way for an ultra-high end 34-storey Kingfisher Towers-Residences. It is going to be the White House in the sky with a total of 82 ultra luxurious residences, split into three blocks.
Vijay Mallya will own the cherry on the top in the form of a stunning penthouse which will add up to an acre of living space. This is going to be the ultimate development in Bangalore and the most prestigious address for billionaires in Bangalore. Ten apartments will be distributed amongst the Mallya family members. Out of the remaining 72 apartments Vijay Mallya gets to keep 30 and the rest goes to the developer Prestige. Originally it was being designed as a regular apartment block with 100 apartments in three different sizes. The idea was dropped as people concerned believed that it would lead to ego clashes amongst the residents. All the apartments will measure 8,000 square feet in size.
There will be five entry points to the apartment block and one of them will be reserved exclusively for Vijay himself. It is the same entry as that of his old house. It will lead to a personal lobby through 39,000 square feet of private garden. He will have a home office and a private lift to his penthouse. The residences will start from the fifth floor as two basement floors and the first four floors will be reserved for car parking. Each residence will get 3 to 5 car parks. The luxury project has a 6,000-sqft clubhouse and garden on the 5th floor, a similar sized swimming pool area on the 10th floor, a badminton court on the 15th floor, and party hall and terrace garden on the 25th floor. The prices start from Rs. 20 Crores.
