Vertu unveils its first touchscreen phone, the Constellation T

Vertu has long been the name associated with feature phones that cost insanely huge amount of money. The Nokia owned subsidiary has decided to make its game bigger with the release of first touchscreen phone called the Constellation T. this will be the first handset of the company to make it to the category of smartphones.

The spec sheet here includes an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 32GB of onboard storage, a 3.5″ nHD AMOLED display, and a dollop of high-status quotient. It is expected to run a variant of Symbian OS, either Anna or Belle with a heavy customization from Vertu. We don’t know what processor will be powering this one but we hope it at least matches up with those that already exist in Nokia’s arsenal of high-end handset.

Details seem scarce at the moment for we don’t know how much it is going to cost. Going by the company’s history, we can safely assume it will be exorbitantly priced. It is expected to be released sometime in this month and probably all of this rumor and speculation will be put to rest then. Well we don’t know how many people will get excited with this one for iPhone 4S seems to be the show stealer at the moment. If you aren’t all that tech-savvy and don’t care much about specs, you could probably go for one of those handsets that come heavily decked with Swarovski crystals and other bling elements.  We’ll keep you posted when this one comes out of the hood.
