Vertu, the Britain based high end mobile manufacturer entered the Android market just a few months back and to lure its big shot customers, the company has recently brought out a limited edition version of the Android phone. Simply called Ti, this Vertu Android phone will come in two colours, “Sunset Red†or “Midnight Blue†and will have a calf leather casing. Since it is meant to be a limited edition range, only 1000 phones have been created for each colour as part of the Vertu Ti Colours collection. All Vertu phones have their unique number engraved on them and this limited edition is no exception.
These hand crafted phones are made of titanium in matte grey shade and has a 3.7 inch scratch-free sapphire screen. Other features of the phone include Android 4.0, an 8 megapixel camera, 64GB of storage, and 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4. As expected this phone does not come cheap. Buyers will have to shell out a cool $10,800 to get one of these. The usual version comes for $10,569 and in my opinion is no less impressive. The crystal screen provides amazing screen quality and the titanium makes it sturdy yet light.
A great thing about Vertu phones is its ‘Concierge’ service. It allows users to get info and bookings of local events, restaurants etc at the touch of a button. It has four versions that include the Titanium black PVD red gold mixed metals, titanium black alligator, titanium black leather, and titanium pure black. If you like your cellphones to look sleek and sophisticated, I think the regular version should be your pick. But for those who like things a little colourful, the limited edition version will surely be great. Vertu seems to be a late entrant in the Android market and its usual clients probably already have their bespoke iPhones etc. Lets hope they ditch those for this offering by Vertu.
