Versace DV One Watch Inspired by Colors of her Autumn/Winter Collection

The Versace Autumn/ Winter 2011 show was a grand success and it inspired Donatella Versace to create the new version of her DV One watch. She has used all the dominant shades in her collection to create the vibrant DV One Cruise. The different colors have been used on different materials. The case is ceramic and has been finished in matte black. The bezel is made from aluminum and is blue in color. The strap made from rubber is blue and purple in color. The front dial details are done in a provocative red on enamel.

Versace will be making one special piece in the design that will have a gold bezel inset with blue sapphires and 12 sapphire baguettes and two rubies. It hasn’t been made as yet but will be made against specific orders. The DV One watch that was originally launched in 2005 has evolved over the years. Originally it came only in black and white ceramic with the Versace Medusa emblazoned at 12 o’clock. The current design is a complete contrast with dark and vibrant colors.

This new Versace DV One is a precursor to a new Versace collection that will launch next winter. This is a limited edition watch and only 99 pieces will be produced. If they receive the order for the single exclusive piece the number will go up to 100. The case of the watch is transparent and is waterproof up to 30 meters. The watch also features a tachymeter scale on the bezel. The top ring of the watch boasts of pavé of blue sapphires, 12 baguette cut blue sapphires (1.09 ct), two baguette cut rubies (0.17 ct). The way DV One design is evolving the watch could become even more colorful next year.
