The British Royalty Gets A Spectacular State Carriage

The Royal Family of England has received a magnificent gift from Australia. Well, it’s a state carriage inlaid with gold and a design so spectacular that it has made the entire world drop its jaw. With an estimated price of 620,000 pounds, this befitting royal beauty will be the second carriage in the last 100 years to belong to the Royal family. In fact, it might just carry Price William and Prince Harry to their weddings.

Designed by Jim Frecklington, the state carriage took two years to be built under the supervision of Duke of Edinburgh, who is a famous carriage driver himself. Buzz is that the two door handles are decorated with 24 diamonds and 130 sapphires. At a measurement of 20 ft length and 11 ft height, the carriage weighs close to 2.75 tons.

And like we said, the carriage deserves the honor it is being given. After all, it incorporates elements of British history like material from a Lancaster bomber, metal from a musket ball from the Battle of Waterloo and wood from the Victory upheld by the Royal Navy. The blue blood can also find wood from cathedrals of St Paul’s, Canterbury, Wells and York segments from Henry VIII’s flagship and other famous liners.
