Swarovski is taking India and its market seriously. They are upgrading their operations in the country. They have appointed Ruchita Sharma as the Marketing Operation Manager for Swarovski CGB (Consumer Goods Business) for Swarovski India. She brings with her international exposure and experience and a very good understanding of the luxury market in India. Ruchita is an IIM, Ahmedabad graduate who went on to do luxury management from Essec Paris. She is basically a Literature major from Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi.
Ruchita has more than 12 years of professional experience. She is considered some sort of specialist on entry strategies for luxury brands. She is a marketing expert and very good at implementing brand development plans. Prior to her appointment at Swarovski Ruchita was associated Globaluxuria, a business platform on luxury in UK, as Head of Strategic Planning.
Earler in 2006 Ruchita was also instrumental in successfully launching the ‘made in Italy brand’ Salvatore Ferragamo. She has also worked for the Bird Group and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. She has been associated with the Indian Hospitality Industry and has worked for the Taj and the Oberoi Group and has delivered a mix of strategic marketing communications, public policy and media relations campaigns.
