St. Regis Announces Firm Date of Opening in January for Bal Harbor Resort

A firm date has been announced for the opening of the St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort. The newest property in the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts portfolio will open its doors for guests on January 19, 2012. The property has been designed and developed with the aim of highlighting the affluent Bal Harbor enclave as a coveted international destination at the intersection of art, design and fashion. It is sufficiently close to Miami and yet offers a secluded escape. The new hotel opening is definitely going to be one of America’s most impressive oceanfront developments.

The resort is spread in three towers where guests will be able to experience a new dimension of bespoke luxury. 214 elegant rooms and 307 residences offer stunning ocean views and the expansive beach in front of the resort. The complex has been designed by Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership and the interiors have been done by celebrated design firm Yabu Pushelberg. The style will be contemporary Art Deco as a tribute to neo-baroque modern Miami. The resort will offer signature St. Regis Butler Service, a sprawling Remède Spa, a world class dining experience at Jean-Georges’ restaurant J&G Grill.

The guest rooms and residences will range in size from 650 to 2,800 square feet. All the guest rooms will have private balconies with ocean views. The 2,800 square feet Presidential Suite, located on the 24th floor will have a private elevator. Apart from a1, 200 square foot private ocean-facing balcony the suite features a gourmet kitchen, a media room, two bedrooms and a dining room. The resort will be introducing programmed keycards that automatically whisk guests up to their guestroom floor. Renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will present J&G Grill and hopefully turn Bal Harbour as a world-class dining destination.
