Disney World Resort has 23 hotels and nearly 25,000 rooms and they are thinking up new ideas to make the rooms more special for their guests. They have a huge portfolio of characters which they use to create themed rooms that makes the experience more unique for the guests. The Walt Disney World Resort has made another exciting announcement about two new Specialty Room offerings. The guests coming to their resorts can now look forward to health and wellness suites and Royal Guest Rooms. Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be the first to offer new health and wellness suites. As the name suggests, the guests opting for these suites can look forward to some real rest and relaxation. The specialty suites will be ready by this fall. The suites will feature bamboo flooring, 100-percent cotton linens, non-allergenic wrapped mattresses. To add to the natural atmosphere of the suites will be great views of Magic Kingdom Park and Bay Lake. The guests can feel the nature in the bathroom as well as they will be equipped with rainwater showers and tea tree oils.

Taking the health theme forward, the guests in these suites can also enjoy the benefit of having cardio equipment right in their room. And for a healthy diet the guests will have daily access to seasonal and organic fresh foods at the concierge lounge. In addition, the guests can enjoy yoga sessions and spa treatments at the resort’s renovated wellness studio which complements the health and wellness specialty offering. Similarly there is exciting news about the Disney’s Port Orleans Resort with its 512 guest rooms getting the royal treatment. With the Royal Wedding coming to a choreographed climax, ‘royal’ has become the flavor of the season. There are exciting enhancement taking place in all the rooms and the debut of the 512 Royal Guest Rooms has been planned for March 2012. These new investments will be recovered quite easily by Disney as they are already charging a premium of up to $30 a night on their pirate-themed guest rooms at their Caribbean Beach Resort. The specialty offering allows the resort to price the guest rooms differentially.

The princess-themed rooms would be based on the hugely popular Disney princesses. According to the Disney Park Blog the story behind these lush rooms is that Princess Tiana of “The Princess and The Frog” invited some of her royal pals including Belle  from“Beauty and the Beast”, Jasmine from “Aladdin” and more for a vacation getaway. And this vacation getaway can be enjoyed by Princes and princesses of all ages. The luxurious quarters of this specialty lodging will have ornate beds that feature headboards with fiber-optic special effects, and gold and crystal accents. There will be art work and special mementos for the guests in the Royal rooms. This latest offering in Disney’s Specialty Room line will be ready by March 2012 but guests can start booking by midsummer. It will be best to visit their sites to get the updates, rates and bookings. Disney’s strategy of offering themed rooms and specialty rooms has been an unqualified success and we are sure to such speciality offerings in the future.
