Now I had heard of IQ and even EQ, but now times have moved on. In todays world you need to be tech savvy cause that also decided your IQ. Infact New York based LuxuryLab has brought out a list of those brands that it considers to be scoring well on the parameter of Digital IQ. These brands were judged on the basis of their websites, digital marketing, social media and mobile presence. These days online marketing has become of prime importance.
Websites like Facebook see so many brands and companies trying to promote themselves. It seems only logical that online marketing be so important when the whole world is becoming so closely intertwined online. Brands have been categorized into ‘Genius’, ‘Gifted’, ‘Challenged’, and ‘Feeble’ based on how well they have marketed themselves on the internet.
Brands such as Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana have scored very well to get the ‘Genius’ tag. Swarovski, Armani, Tiffany etc are ‘Gifted’, while Ermenegildo Zegna, Bally, Balenciaga, Chloe, Versace and Alexander McQueen have been branded as ‘Challenged, and Dunhill, Catherine Malandrino, Ferragamo, Zac Posen, Tods and Manolo Blahnik have been ranked as ‘Feeble.’ Though just having a Facebook page does not make you a successful brand but it does help in increasing people’s knowledge about that brand.
