Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 is the new Android Gingerbread smart phone by the Korean company which always strives to keep ahead in the field of digital products. The new smart phone is ready and may soon be available in the UK. Clove, the British retailer, revealed that Samsung could start shipping the new Galaxy sometime in March. The British retailers are ready to take pre orders for the technologically advanced phones.
The pricing for the pre orders have been finalised and as expected the prices are rather steep. The 16GB version can be pre-ordered for £510 (€596) without VAT, or for £612 (€715) with VAT, while the 32GB version will currently cost £590 (€690) without VAT, and £708 (€828) inclusive of VAT. These prices are primarily for pre orders and subject to change. It is expected to be scaled down once the phones become available for retail.
Galaxy S II is the first Android 2.3 handset to come out of the Samsung stable. It is the first to come with a dual core processor. It might make sense for the British consumers to be a little patient as they might have to pay less for the phone after it becomes available with the retailers. The Galaxy S II is one of the world’s thinnest smart phones measuring only 8.5 mm. NEC’s Medias has the honor of being the thinnest at 7.7 mm.
