Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has listed his 184-foot family yacht, named Rosehearty on Camper & Nicholsons International for an asking price of £19 million which is approximately $29.7 million. Mr. Murdoch had got the yacht built in 2006 and got the interiors done by Christian Liagre. The result was stunning to say the least. The yacht has a unique six cabin layout that can accommodate in luxurious comfort 12 guests and 10 crew members. Roseheartyis capable of reaching a cruising speed of 13 knots. Camper & Nicholsons have been in the business of managing the yachts of the world’s richest people and they have pitched the Rosehearty as “majestic, innovative and full of character”.
The Yacht Designed and Built for Worldwide Cruising
Rupert Murdoch had announced few months back that he would be divorcing his third wife Wendi Deng. They have been married for the last 14 years. The divorce is not expected to get messy as they had signed a prenuptial agreement before the marriage in 1999. Deng will get her share of the $11 billion fortune of the media mogul as per the agreement. The sale of the yacht could be part of the restructuring of the assets before the divorce settlement. The yacht has been designed for worldwide cruising and has all the amenities like water skis, a wakeboard and diving gear for water sport enthusiasts. The interior of the yacht has a very luxurious feel. Pale oak woods and Hermes leather furnishings have been used extensively.
The Yacht Boasts of a Full Beam Master Suite and Two VIP Staterooms
The dining area has a very intimate atmosphere with a dark wood table and chairs, soft lighting and warm red seating. It has a full beam master suite, two VIP staterooms, two doubles and a single with Pullman berth. There are multiple options for sun lounging. The aft deck has three steamer style loungers whereas the large upper deck and fly bridge feature sun pads. The lounging area spreads over the entire width of the aft section with a large Jacuzzi in front. The unique yacht has aluminum masts and carbon furling booms along with Perini captive reel winches, all designed and built by Perini Navi. The yacht is ideal for both private use and charter. Mr. Murdoch had also put the yacht up for rent in 2009 for £190,000.
