But from the fashion runways, they are now making a foray into your homes. Yes, their new line of draperies are set to sizzle your home decor. They have actually come up with 5 upholstery and 3 drapery patterns for the company Knoll Luxe.
The colour palette is rich with different hues such as ice blue, wheat, plum, royal navy, fawn etc. Interestingly, each design is named after the designers’ favourite poets such as E.E. Cummings, John Keats, W. H. Auden, and Dorothy Parker. Like the drapery in the picture is called Emerson. These home fabrics can be bought at Knoll showrooms all over the country, and at the Knoll Luxe showroom, which is in the D&D building.
Some of the Rodarte fabric designs have also been chosen to be showcased at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York. Knoll Luxe has previously collaborated Proenza Schouler in 2008. The company’s creative director Dorothy Cosonas said, “Since its inception, Knoll has worked with cutting-edge designers from Eero Saarinen to Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
