Richard Branson’s Necker Island Rents Out For $53K A Night

Most of us only dream of a trip to an island paradise in Hawaii, the Philippines or the Bahamas. Those who have the money head out for a luxury vacation to a private island, like the one owned by Sir Richard Branson. Branson’s island is secluded, untouched and located in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Named Necker Island, this 74-acre paradise has attracted the likes of Mariah Carey and Jay-Z among others. Most others would not have been able to afford Branson’s private getaway. The charges are $53,000 per night.

Located on Devil’s Hill is the Great House of Necker. The property boasts of six double rooms, a Master Suite and a Junior Suite. Each of the rooms includes a balcony and an en-suite bath. The Master Suite includes a Jacuzzi and an outdoor bath. The Great House also houses a state-of-the-art kitchen, a well-stocked bar and an infinity pool. Additionally, there are six Bali-style houses. Three are built on a cliff while the other three are built near the centre of the island and include a private pool.

There is plenty to do on Necker Island, from kite-surfing and windsurfing to sailing or kayaking. Guests can also make use of the 3-seater aero submarine, the Necker Nymph. One could even unwind with a game of tennis or darts. Of course, there is always the option of lounging by the sea or relaxing at the Bali Leha Spa. The facilities can house up to 30 people, making this luxury vacation spot perfect for a mid-sized gala with family and friends.
