If there is one thing that new luxury lifestyle blog Pursuitist cannot be accused of, it is lack of ambition. The new blog, which is still in its beta avatar, is hoping to become the “Huffington Post of Luxury”. Christopher Parr, the CEO and Publisher of Pursuitist said that the blog is all about “finding and sharing the good things in life.” He added, “Pursuitists are ahead of the curve and authentic.” Parr himself is a veteran in online marketing, so big things are expected from the site.
The blog will feature posts by contributors who have written for the likes of Forbes, Conde Nast Traveler, Luxist, Mashable and TechCrunch. The writers will provide a curated list of everything luxury related, from restaurants and travel hotspots to luxury brands, events, technology, cars and more.
The blog will also help luxury brands connect with high-end customers through advertisements. Halogen Media Group is managing the ads. Brands like Burberry, Coach and BMW have already come on board, advertising in even the beta version of the Pursuitist. The site provides an environment where affluent consumers can interact with luxury brands and vice versa.
So far, the website has featured several high-profile luxury fashion brands including Prada, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Roberto Cavalli. Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, Intercontinental Resorts and Ritz-Carlton Hotels are among the big names that have already made it to the luxury lifestyle blog’s travel section. Meanwhile, the likes of BMW, Lamborghini, Jaguar and Audi have enjoyed their share of the limelight on the blog.
An iPhone app is in the pipeline for the Pursuitist, as are flash sales, community reviews and Facebook integration. Big things are afoot at this online property.
