Porsche has repeatedly proved that it is the best. They hold the record for the most number of wins overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They have a record of 16 overall wins. It was the iconic Porsche 917 K that won the first time forty years ago with Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood behind the wheels.
Porsche designs has decided it is time to commemorate this special occasion. They have unveiled a special-edition chronograph to commemorate the grand event. They are calling it the Porsche Design p’6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 Limited Edition. The design has been inspired by the dashboard instruments of the 917 K. The limited edition is restricted to 917 pieces.
P’6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 chronograph is offset by the number 23 that adorned the winning 917 K. It also boasts of a tachometer scale that can be used to calculate overall speed. The case is made out of brushed and polished titanium. The calfskin strap complements the case perfectly. It is topstitched with red suggestive of the steering wheel of the winning 917K. All the 917 timepieces comes with a scale model of the 917K and a booklet signed by Herrmann and Attwood. It is a must have for all the Porsche fans.
