Pop-up Goes The Modern Hotel!

Pop-up concepts are the next big thin in modern civilization. In fact, stats show that pop-up hotels are gaining massive popularity in Europe because they are convenient accommodation for all sorts of outdoor events. Plus you can play with the luxury quotient according to the requirement or the budget.

We liked Albimo’s pop-up hotel particular. This structure is only 130 square feet and comes across as a cozy design making place for a bed, desk, chair, bathroom complete with a shower as well as a small LCD TV. A definite winner when it comes to instant accommodation. But of course, features like the TV and the wall decor have to be added later to the basic structure. And an honest opinion, the exterior of Albimo’s pop-up hotel isn’t particularly classy.

Then we have the pop-up version by UK architect Tim Pyne whose interpretation has each individual hotel unit fit into a steel frame like Lego blocks. This hotel is semi-permanent in nature easily lasting for about 7-10 years. Other companies likes Travelodge, the Travelpod and the Cubi are also working on their models to enter the pop-up hotel biz.
