Designers who are not associated with real estate are making bold intervention in the industry and the result has been, more often than not very refreshing. Their creativity and modernism brings in a new perspective to architecture. Porsche Sky garages and Porsche suite at the London Taj Hotel are some of the fine examples of such initiative. Pininfarina, the Italian design house who had earlier created landmark designs for Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, and Alfa Romeo have now decided to get into luxury real estate. They would now oversee the designing process of Millencento Residences, a 42-storey 382 apartment tower.
Located on the South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida, the apartment building is collaborative effort between Related Group and Pininfarina. For the design house it is their first residential real estate venture. They aim to bring their world class contemporary aesthetics to the tower. Carlos Ott who created a reputation for himself after designing the Jade Beach and the Artech projects will lead the design team. Located in a prime area of Miami, the designer building is targeted at rich families. The building will have a total of 382 condo apartments.
The building will feature several luxurious amenities and high quality fittings. Premium fabrication will ensure smooth surfaces. Exotic wood fabrication and Italian leather varieties will create an aura that one would expect from a building designed by Mr. Ott. The amenities in the building include fitness center, private theater, private cabanas, and infinity pool on the 42nd floor of the tower, and also a pool deck with a club room on the 9th floor. Miami has a large base of luxury real estate but this tower will be a prestigious addition to the city’s skyline.
