CES 2011: Introducing The All New Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner Robot

The field of robotics is growing at an astronomical pace as more and companies and researchers strive to bring the machines closer to humans and create a relationship, where in the homo sapiens are the most to benefit from. At the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 (CES 2011) in Las Vegas, robots designed for household purposes are already making their presence felt, with the floor cleaning robot and a vacuum cleaning robot by iRobot. Now, continuing in the same genre. Mint Cleaner has introduced an all new floor cleaning robot in the form of Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner.

The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner comes with a North Star Navigation Cube, that has been designed to generate a digital map of the areas of the house in which the Mint cleaner is operating, thereby providing direction to the robot to the places that are unclean. The Mint clear operates in two modes, the first mode enables the robot to mop the floor with a dust mop and the second mode makes the robot take to some aggressive cleaning techniques, where in it scrubs the floor back and forth, via wet cloth attached to its magnetic cleaning pad. The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner has been programmed to stay on tiles and hardwood floors, while avoiding carpets, rugs and other obstacles.

The Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner looks quite homely and besides a few downsides, this new household robot is quite practical for all home owners. This cute little cleaner comes with a price tag of $250.
