Othmar Mühlebach is an MA Student at Luzern who has recently won the second prize at the Berner Design Awards for his ultra-cool toaster re-design. The idea is to lay a stack of bread on the top of the toaster and it runs through the toaster, and each slice comes out with a print.
It could be modified to burn any kind of graphics on the bread and it runs through USB. It is a cool and fun device that lets you see what the bread must be like when you would eat it. With some crazily printed bread, it summarily creates some really unique and fun-looking slices of bread which nobody would refuse to eat.
Kids who refuse to eat bread and insist on fruit juices or cereal can be forced or tricked into eating bread by using a model like this. It is a great and cool device which I would love to get for myself but it is still not available in the market and its price is not known. Since it was a re-design by a student, we can only expect it to be available in the market after a long time. Perhaps it might not even come to the market!
