The Mercedes-Benz AMG 300 SL is inspirational. In fact, it has led to the developement of a new design inspiration in the form of 2010 Merc-Benz SLS AMG. The new concept will be showcased to the world at the Frankfurt Motor Show this Autumn.
The 2010 version of the SLS AMG takes in a lot from the 300 SL of 1954. However, we can spot the touch of the contemporary in the for of the brisk sportiness. The insides will remind you of an aero plane while the front and the centre infotainment system keeps you occupied.
There is plenty of other stuff also that too will take your fancy like the climate control, COMAND, mounted shifter below all surrounded by aluminum or carbon fiber trim. The sedan flaunts Gullwing doors and can generate 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque from the mid-engine V8. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is also impressive. The top speed is 315 kms/hr. The price is big at $210,000.
