Preparing a sequel to a great movie is a difficult task that not everybody can handle. The same applies to super motorbikes too. The MV Agusta Brutale was launched almost a decade ago. This bike has indeed proven its worth as one of the most attractive motorcycles in existence. And now its maker has attempted to update the original model.
Thr good thing is the engineers and designers did not really mess with the original Brutale master design. Though on a closer look, you will notice that close to 85 per cent of the 2010 Brutale is new. The bodywork with its chromoly steel trellis frame and the iconic headlight have all been replaced. Even the four-cylinder powerplant is now available in either 998cc or 1078cc options.
The brand explains that the bike’s rider compartment has been modified to make it more comfortable, which is really a welcome change to the extremely compact one in the first blueprint. Even the swingarm is longers and allows a better handling as do the gravity cast(990) or forged wheels (1090). The pricing is high at $15,000 for the 990R model and $18,000 for 1090RR version.
