Mouawad is the Lebanese jeweler who holds several world records for the most valuable necklace worth $55 million, most expensive handbag priced at $3.8 million and the most expensive bra worth $12.5 million. They have designed another bra which has cost them $10 million. The bra made from diamonds and other precious stones has been created for Victoria’s Secret and will be showcased during their televised fashion show in New York to be held in December. The Lebanese jeweler has been associated with the American lingerie chain for over a decade now and has created many bejeweled bras over the years. The most expensive bra which featured in the Guinness Book of World Records was also made for the same chain.
It is a Set of a Bra With a Matching Bejeweled Belt
The $10 million bra boasts of 4,200 precious gems. The top part of the bra features diamond fans along with blue sapphire and ruby florets. The cups of the bra are covered in rubies and yellow sapphires. The highlight however is a 52 carat pear shaped ruby that dangles from the center along with a diamond ribbon. The designers of the bra have created a matching bejeweled belt created in British patriotic colors of gold, red, white and blue that wraps around the waist. The set has been named the Royal Fantasy Bra and Belt. The jeweler has revealed that the design has been inspired by the models who dominated the fashion scene during the trend setting 60s.
Candice Swanepoel Will Model the Bra for Victoria’s Secret
Candice Swanepoel of South Africa will model the Fantasy Bra for Victoria’s Secret 2013 Dreams and Fantasies catalogs as well as the fashion show in New York which will be broadcast live by CBS. Candice is a top Angel of the brand and the bra has been custom made for her. The earlier versions of the Fantasy Bras have been worn by Tyra Banks, Selita Ebanks and Gisele Bundchen. Swanepoel is excited about wearing the Fantasy bra and told the People Magazine that the bra has turned out to be much better than what she had imagined. Mouawad, founded in 1908 by David Mouawad is being run by the fourth generation of the family and has created fine pieces for many celebrity clients including a large number of Hollywood and regional stars.
