Megayacht with Unmatched Features Up for Sale for $50 Million

Sherakhan, as the name suggests, is the king of mega yachts, both in size and looks and unmatched amenities. At 230 feet it has the size to provide luxurious amenities on a grand scale not normally seen on yachts. And its retro looks are not the results of a designer’s creative efforts but because it was originally launched as a commercial cruiser way back in 1965. It was built by Holland’s Vuyk en Zonen. The stylish yacht has been refitted most recently in 2008. Making it one of the most modern and contemporary yachts in its size.

Sherakhan has been listed for sale via Camper & Nicholsons for about $50 million. Some of the unique features of the yacht highlight the fact that the yacht was conceived and built in the swinging sixties. The most remarkable among them is a glass bottomed Jacuzzi with capacity for 26. Even on land this kind of facility is difficult to find. The master suite of the yacht boasts of revolving bed that seems to come straight out of a James Bond movie. The dining room that can accommodate 22 for a sit down meal is located just under the glass-bottomed Jacuzzi, which acts as an atrium.

In its 203 feet Sherakhan accommodates a lot of other luxe features. It has a white grand piano, fireplace, massage room and sauna, beauty salon, bar and library. It has luxurious accommodations for 26 guests and suitable quarters for 18 crew members. All the rooms and spaces on the Sherakhan is larger than what you are used to on a yacht. It has the potential to make a perfect ultra-luxe charter for about $500,000 a week. The mega yacht can cruise at about 12 knots. But then you don’t really expect to chase anyone on the high seas. The idea is to get 25 friends on board and enjoy.
