McIntosh Recreates MC275 Tube Amplifier on its 50th Anniversary

The professional musicians and sound engineers love the natural and warm sound of tube amplifiers. McIntosh has been at the forefront of developing and manufacturing such amplifiers and has been appreciated for several generations of music lovers. McIntosh was originally founded in Silver Springs, Maryland, 1949 and their NY factory in Binghamton has been in existence since 1956. Frank McIntosh, the founder of the company believed that one could build a better amplifier and took it as a challenge along with his technically competent team.

They have achieved several milestones along the way, over the years. They are now ready for the release of the McIntosh 50th Anniversary MC275 Tube Amplifier that brings back the classic sound in a modern package with the backing of new and modern technology. It celebrates the original creation and improves on it with modern niceties. The new creation has the best of both worlds and will appeal to all generation of consumers. The commemorative model will be produced as a limited edition design and become available by the month of December this year.

The limited edition MC275 has a gold toned chassis. The new design has successfully merged the classic 1961 tube circuit design of the original with some modern niceties. To make it attractive for the younger modern consumer multi colored LED display has been incorporated in the amp. Some modern security features have also been incorporated like Power Control input and output and High Speed Sentry Monitor circuit that would automatically switch off the amp in case a tube wears out. Priced at $6,500, the new amp will come with a commemorative book and packaging and will be available in all the top hi-fi  stores.
