Marilyn Monroe Premier Cru Brut Champagne to Debut at Bordeaux

It has been fifty years now that Marilyn Monroe is not with us physically but we hardly feel her absence as she continues to make headlines. She was in the news recently when her iconic white dress was auctioned for a record price. She is back in the news again as a bottle of Champagne has been named in her honor. The special edition champagne is being produced by the distinguished French Champagne house JM Gobillard & Fils for Norwegian company Rosmersholm. The power of the brand Marilyn Monroe is intact even 50 years after her passing away.

The fruity champagne has been named Marilyn Monroe Premier Cru Brut. It is 50 percent Chardonnay, 25 percent Pinot Noir and 25 percent Pinot Meunier. It is being produced in the Hautvillers, Cumières and Dizy areas of Champagne. The champagne which was aged for three years in the cellar has an elegant fragrance and a delicate taste. This exclusive champagne will debut at the world’s largest wine trade fair in Bordeaux this week. It is the biggest wine show which is expected to attract 50,000 attendees from 47 countries.

The bottle has been designed well and does justice to the Monroe name. The Marilyn Monroe Premier Cru Brut has been packaged with a set of six well designed curvaceous flutes. The memory of the blond screen siren, Marilyn Monroe lives on. In fact it grows stronger with her commercial value outweighing many of the contemporary stars. Even today her name spells magic and a mere association with her name guarantees success.
