Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour Likely to Become the Most Expensive Tour

Madonna seems to be getting better with age. Even at 56 her new work is eagerly awaited and she recently released her 13th studio album Rebel Heart. She is scheduled to follow it up with a tour starting in August. There is a buzz already amongst the music lovers and high anticipation amongst her fans. The tickets for the tour have been opened for sale today. The projections and estimates have declared the Rebel Heart Tour as the most expensive concert tour of 2015 on the secondary market. The first leg of the tour will cover North America and the average price of the tickets that are available now is ruling at $452.33.
The average is expected to drop marginally when more tickets hit the market but it will still be much higher than Taylor Swift’s 1989 Tour. That tour had become the benchmark for an expensive music tour where the ticket price averaged at a record $305.21. It was that tour that had established Swift as the biggest name in the world of pop music. But the way Madonna’s tour tickets are dominating the secondary market it is obvious that there is great demand to see her live in concert. Another tour this year that is commanding high ticket prices is the iconic act by Fleetwood Mac. His With The Show Tour has generated an average secondary price of $298.82 in January this year.

Madonna’s previous tours have also been highly successful. Her past two tours have finished among the top 12 highest grossing tours of all-time. Her 2008 Sticky & Sweet tour stands at third all time high with a total gross of $408 million. The tickets on sale for Madonna’s tour now provide a benefit for the buyers as it allows them to digitally download the “SUPER DELUXE” version of Rebel Heart. Every fan who buys the ticket for the North American leg of the tour will receive the deluxe digital package of that record that includes six bonus tracks. There will be a total of 21 shows on the US and Canada leg of the tour with the first one being at the American Airlines Arena in Miami on August 29.
