Lutwyche to Launch a Luxury Men’s Shoe with Dalmore

Dalmore, the legendary whisky brand is having a good year and it has encouraged the brand to try innovative strategies to connect better with its customers. The whisky brand is on a high after a bottle of 62 year old Dalmore Sinclair scotch for $200,000 from Changi Airport Group and another bottle recently sold at Changi Airport, Singapore for £125,000 making it the most expensive bottle ever sold outside of auction. Dalmore has now got into a very unusual collaboration with Lutwyche, Britain’s leading men’s tailor, for its first luxury men’s shoe.

This unique collaboration is a first in many ways. It is the first time that an alcohol brand is producing a shoe and Lutwyche is also producing a shoe for the first time as their core area is tailoring exclusive apparels. The design of the shoe takes into account the deer stag that every bottle of Dalmore’s single malt carries. Each of the shoe features Dalmore stag’s head on the crest. Called the Dalmore brogue the shoes made by Lutwyche use sustainably sourced deerskin.

Lutwyche has an opulent clientele and they have been very particular that the shoes are made with the same qualities of custom-fit and utmost comfort as their apparels. Both traditional craftsmanship and new cutting edge technology has been used to make the shoe that could be the most expensive shoe in the world. The leather used is extremely soft and rare deerskin that has the ability to mold to the feet of the frequent wearer. The Dalmore Master Distiller,Richard Paterson feels that the two brands are similar in terms of artisanship, exclusivity and excellence. Both partners have put in their best in creating this shoe and hopes the partnership flourishes and creates many unique and great things.
