Louis Vuitton Train Turns Heads at Paris Fashion Week

Louis Vuitton believes in doing things in style. They always manage to do something unusual and over the top that attracts attention and becomes the talking point in the fashion industry. Paris Fashion Week has become crowded and it is becoming more and more difficult to attract and retain viewer attention. All the fashion houses and designers who participate put in an extra effort to make the presentation unique and the first of its kind so that the viewer and media attention is focused on the runway.

This year at the Paris Fashion Week they presented their collection in the Louis Vuitton train that arrived on the catwalk and was appreciated by one and all as one of the best concepts ever seen at the prestigious fashion week. However, implementing the concept was a costly affair as it reportedly cost a cool $8 million. The high fashion locomotive was decked-out both from outside and inside. The interior was not visible to the guests but it was very elegantly done up.

It did the trick as it surprised the viewers and grabbed their attention. Before the train got on stage steam started pouring in from backstage. A false floor dropped to reveal rail tracks and the Louis Vuitton express moved in on the stage. The train featured velvet seats and luggage rails. The carriage behind the locomotive was finished in navy and gold. The models, all dressed as travelers got off the train to show off their elegant coats, cigarette pants, dresses and skirts. The designs were all inspired from the 1940s era. The models were also carrying signature Louis Vuitton luggage. This will be a tough act to follow but I am sure the core team at Louis Vuitton will already be thinking of an idea that could be better than their train.
