Leica Touched Gold With Limited Edition MP Camera

It’s a big thing when a country lets go of its communist traits and establishes itself as a republic. And let us tell you that China managed to do all that and even completed 60 successful years as the People’s Republic of China last year (though there are some who would see it all differently). It is an achievement indeed but we do feel like the rest of the world that there is more to be achieved by the Chinese establishment for the betterment of its people in terms of upliftment and freedom.. That apart, famous camera brand Leica has decided to celebrate China’s long and arduous history as well as the better present with a limited edition MP Golden Camera.

As the name suggests, this cam has gold as an integral part of its structure. There is a Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 gold lens. The complete set has a 24 carat gold body. And parts that do not flaunt the shimmery, yellow gold are covered with a the gorgeous and extremely luxurious Leica Red Box Calf leather, which is red.

The camera has a Mao Zedong style font type in red calligraphy and even bears the Tiananmen Sqaure pattern. There are 60 units with serial numbers starting from 1949 to 2009. Each of these is priced at $29,284 and comes stored in a luxury wooden box. It will be available in China alone.
