Refined Lamborghini Hurácan to Debut at Geneva Motor Show in March

Lamborghinis have an image of being brash, bullish and brute. But their latest model Hurácan LP 610-4 is sure to help change that stereotype. This 610-horsepower carbon fiber coupe has been designed as the successor to the iconic Gallardo. Its look has been inspired by the Aventador. The new Huracan wears a much more refined look and perhaps the best looking car made by the Italian brand so far. The car has a new improved body made of carbon fiber and aluminum. It has made the car relatively lighter and is yet tougher than the previous models. The final look of the car has been released in the final video of a series of teaser videos for the ‘Hexagon Project’.

A 7 Speed Dual Clutch Transmission is a First for Lamborghini

This is the ultimate Lamborghini in every which way. The new Huracan features a mid mounted 5.2 liter V10 engine that pairs the aforementioned 610 horsepower with 413 pound-feet of torque over all four wheels. It is the first time that Lamborghini has introduced a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. The Italian car maker has not offered any manual drive option. This new engine is capable of hitting 62mph in 3.2 seconds. The car is capable of attaining top speeds of over 200mph. The new car also features standard carbon ceramic brakes, three drive modes and a stop-start technology that improves efficiency. Customers will be offered options of magnetic shocks and a variable steering system.

Huracan Belongs to the Spanish Conte de la Patilla Breed

The name Huracán is also a name of a famous fighting bull which belongs to the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed. Huracan is a bull known for its outstanding courage and strong sense of attack. The bull became famous after it fought in Alicante in August 1879 and showed remarkable character by remaining defiant and invincible. The new car will make its live public debut next March at the Geneva Motor Show. Sales of the Lamborghini Huracan are scheduled to start in the spring of 2014. The Italian brand is hoping the new model will prove to be a game changer for them.
