La Perla and Jean Paul Gaultier are both names to reckon with in the fashion business. But the difference between these two fashion giants is that La Perla is associated with very soft and feminine designs. Whereas Jean Paul Gaultier is known for his bold and quirky designs. But this time these two have collaborated with each other to bring out a new line of lingerie. The result would be interesting to watch.
This collection is supposed to be retro inspired, and will include items such as corsets, bustiers, and other underthings to bring out your curves perfectly. The dominant hues are the girly pink and sexy black. Some pieces are also in coral and shades of blue. Gaultier says, “In my latest prêt-à -porter collection I revisited the conical bras and corsets worn as outerwear. Lingerie is part of my core beliefs and my heritage. It has been nearly 30 years since I created my first corset dress. This collaboration was a natural and logical step, especially since La Perla is the pearl of lingerie, with the best savoir-faire.”
The pieces from this limited edition collection will be showcased on July 7th at Gaultier’s couture fashion show in Paris. One will be able to buy these lingerie pieces from November onwards. Prices range from $600 for bras and panties, while the more intricate pieces will cost your around $1,200.
