It is reported that 400,000 international tourists visited the region in 2011. This off beaten track recently has been visited by reporters, social activists and businesspeople. Guests can ride a boat to see floating gardens, ‘pagoda forest’ and colorful markets.The areas of Bagan and Inle Lake themselves have been visited by 100,000 international tourists in a year which has become the second largest tourist centre in South Asia after Indonesia.
