The Trump International Hotel & Tower New York has already undergone renovation worth $30 million. Now we hear that the Trump Spa is set to expand on the hotel’s concourse level and that Ivanka Trump has designed the new spa. Luxury spa residences and luxury spa suites being the rage these days, this should be another big feather in Ivanka’s cap. (Donald Trump’s daughter already holds the post of Executive VP of Development of Acquisitions, and she oversaw the recent refurbishing.) When the new Trump Spa opens this May, it will feature three treatment rooms that promise the height of luxury. One of the treatment rooms is solely for couples.
Let us take a closer look at the expanded luxury spa in the Trump New York. Polished Palissandro marble from Italy will complement the warm walnut wood in the reception. As guests walk through the hallways to the treatment rooms they will notice stone with serpentine inlay. Elsewhere, they will see scalloped patterns inlaid onto the stone. Guests who book a manicure or pedicure will appreciate the hand-painted cherry blossom design on the walls of the mani-pedi room. Meanwhile, the locker rooms will feature steam rooms, saunas, backlit mirrors and full-length lockers. Blue and gray tiles will line the walls and the floors will be of hardwood and carpeted. Ivanka has also introduced a vanity area in the women’s locker room.
As if the spa’s expansion at the Trump New York were not enough, we hear that the expanded spa will be launching a new menu of treatments when it reopens in May. Will this become the most expensive spa in New York? Wait and watch!
