The New York Boat Show has been taking place annually for over a century now. The 106th edition is scheduled to run through January 19 to 23. The location of the event will be the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The 49-foot Sunseeker 47 Portofino will be the ‘Queen of the Show’. It is a sports cruiser with a large saloon and well-equipped galley with a master stateroom and a twin bed cabin, both en suite. It comes with a price tag of $1.15 million.
The Sunseeker has several other attractive features. It has a social area with seating, a wet bar and a sun pad. Other interesting boats at the show is Azimut 48 Flybridge-Range. It is priced at $1.1 million and has guest cabins located in mid ship. It also has an extended aft bathing platform, a dinette for six and a spacious galley.
The prices of the boats quoted in the show are expected to be lower by 15%. Visitors to the show can participate in a contest to win a Boater’s Dream Vacation at the Bitter End Yacht Club in the British Virgin Islands. Tickets for the show cost $12 for adults. Children up to the age of 15 can get in free.
