Who could have imagined that India’s most expensive Pizza would be found somewhere so close to the city that I live in? Well, New Delhi has got another feather in its hat as one of the most expensive hotels and restaurants in the country has begun to serve pizzas that would cost almost $200. The Pizzas are priced at 9999 Indian Rupees and would be available at The Qube, a restaurant at Leela palace, one of the most expensive hotels in India. The hotel is located in the diplomatic enclave of the city which is known for its tree lined boulevards.
Your $200 pizza would come with Canadian lobster, thyme- scented mascarpone, 28 gms of Iranian beluga caviar and frozen blue goose vodka chaser. Now, I am not really sure if I would make a journey to The Qube to eat the Pizza, for I am sure with a couple of hundred dollars more, one could fly to Italy and taste the real slice of Italy and enjoy the pizza made by those who actually eat it as part of their cuisine.
Moreover, Italians have always looked down upon all pizzas except the ones that are made in the exclusive Italian homes. So if you are lazy and are in Delhi, go to the Qube and spend more than $200 for a pizza. Or, you can spend a little more, and go to Tuscany in Italy to taste real and hearty pizzas.
