Hotel Costa Verde Converts Boeing into a Suite

Every designer has the urge to do some thing really unusual once in a while. It is not always possible to do the unusual and yet make it interesting as well as useful. Well Hotel Costa Verde has managed to do all of it and more. They have presented their newest lodgings which is a fully outfitted, meticulously detailed, two bedroom, Boeing 727 fuselage suite. It has managed to keep the structure of the fuselage intact and still give you a suite which is complete, lavish and luxurious in every way.

They have refurbished a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airframe. The plane was originally a part of the South Africa Air fleet and was later acquired by Avianca Airlines of Colombia who finally decommissioned it. Now the plane has become part of the Hotel Costa Verde.

The interiors of the plane has been done up with the best. The paneling from the cockpit to the tail is done in teak. The furnishings are hand carved, teak furniture from Java, Indonesia. The interior designers have created two bedrooms – one with two queen sized beds and the other with one queen sized bed. Both the rooms are air conditioned and have its own private bath, flat screen TV, a kitchenette and a dining area foyer. The best thing about these lodgings is the view because of its elevated location.
