The top comfort layer may be the latest trend in high quality beds, but having tried mattresses with and without one, I prefer to buy a mattress without one. The reason being, the mattress seems to last longer because I keep it regularly rotated. At the end of every month I either flip the mattress end over end or side over side. This prevents the bed from wearing down in one place. The even wearing results in a better sleep and in a longer-lasting mattress.
The part about this featured mattress that I like the best is the layer of genuine new zealand wool. It is excellent for both comfort and temperature control.
