Hainan Rendez-Vous in China Attracts Best of Luxury World

China is opening its business doors wide to luxury world even though it still maintains an iron curtain wall. Given the growth rate of Chinese economy big names of the luxury travel and living world can no longer ignore China. A small island called Hainan, in south coast of China is hosting luxury living festival called Rendez-Vous in partnership with The Wall Street Journal (media partner). At Sanya’s Visun Marina 150 exhibitors showcasing their yacht, private jets and other luxury travel stuff. Apparently, the Hainin island itself is the official tourist hotspot for the rich and this is the second year of Rendez-Vous.

This event in remote China coast has been sponsored by some very big names like Martell Cognac, BMW and Chopard and some top yacht makers like Virtruvious Yachts are displaying their luxury yachts. It promises to be one of the most extravagant shows for many brands have flown in elite guests in private jets and even private tours are being organized for the visitors. The entrance fee for the event is 180 yuan which is $27.  Many exhibitors have already sold their boats, yachts worth in millions and other expensive ware on first day itself. This says a lot about Chinese economic boom and what rich in China want to spend their money on.

One hopes China will lift other regulations and open up its restricted coasts and air space so that neo rich yacht and private jet owners can expand their hobbies, indulgences in to travel businesses and travel further.
