Flash Catamarans Has Redefined the Design of Dual Hull Vessels With Flash Cat 67SC

Flash Catamarans from Spain has raised the bar for the manufacturers of dual hull vessels with the launch of their new Flash Cat 67SC. It is clearly an attempt to redefine the packaging of the vessel and have altered the shape of the vessel in the process. The cabin space has been largely pulled up from below deck resulting in an open and airy interior. It has made incorporation of large picture windows possible that offer stunning views of the sea. The other highlight of the design is that it provides better accessibility for disabled passengers even on the upper deck.

The below deck of the dual hulls house the two engines and twin single occupancy cabins for the crew. The cabin space has been maximized by using the entire deck space along the vessels beam. The wheelhouse, living and dining areas are built into the indoor/outdoor flybridge. It is a clear departure from the typical port and starboard aisles. There is sufficient space for a kitchen both at the deck and the flybridge level and both options are available. The layout of the deck has been split into six double cabins, each with individual bathrooms. There is a furnished outdoor dining area on the aft section of the deck.

The flybridge upstairs is equally large and spacious. It features a living area with multiple couches and a dining room designed to accommodate all the 12 guests. The wheelhouse is also part of the indoor section. The outdoor part is mostly occupied by a solarium outfitted with lounge chairs and a whirlpool tub. There are large windows all around that offer picturesque sight lines in practically all directions. The manufacturers have highlighted the point that the deck level cabin design and the wide-open aisles and spaces make getting around easier. There is an elevator also that makes traveling between the two levels convenient. Flash Catamarans has announced that the new design will be offered in Shipowner, Charter and Passenger versions but the pricing has not been declared as yet. But considering their earlier launches one can expect a reasonable price tag.
